Qi Gong

Join Shelley Randall for a donation-based Qi Gong class every Wednesday morning!

Shelley will guide participants through a Spring Forest Qi Gong practice — a set of five very simple movements developed by Master Chunyi Li that can be practiced seated or standing up and can be learned by anyone. These movements release energetic blockages in the body and restore balance to the overall functioning of the physical and emotional body.

Qi Gong is part and parcel of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been utilized and developed for over 2000 years. The premise indicates that our bodies have 12 main channels coursing through and connecting each organ. When these channels become blocked the energy or “Life Force energy (Qi) is stymied. These blockages reduce the efficacy of our organ functioning and can lead to illness and unhealth. The movements open up the free flow of Qi throughout our bodies leading to balance and healthy functioning.

Qi Gong with Shelley occurs every Wednesday from 10-11 am through mid-June.

Suggested Donation $10 via cash, Venmo @maya-rook, or card. All are welcome and nobody will be turned away.

Meet Your Teacher:

Shelley Randall became interested in the energetics of Traditional Chinese Medicine after taking a 40 hour workshop in the Five Elements Theory during her 300 hour Yin Yoga Certification. She continued to study and work with the Five Elements Theory and during the pandemic studied Spring Forest Qi Gong.

After becoming certified as a Community Leader, Shelley taught Spring Forest Qi Gong to individuals residing at an in-patient residence in recovery from substance use disorder two times weekly. These students reported a distinct mood elevation and a lightness of being. Shelley also taught privately to dedicated students during the winter of 2021,with both indoor and outdoor classes. Her students reported a decrease in anxiety and an increase in energy and an overall sense of equilibrium and physical well-being.

Shelley welcomes all students and loves to teach Qi Gong within the construct of the Five Elements Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
