Tarot Salon: The World

Are you curious about Tarot but don’t know where to start? Do you have a deck collecting dust that is just begging to be unpacked? Have you been exploring Tarot on your own and want to go further with community?

Tarot Salon exists for people just like you!

Come spend an evening with Tarot Salon, a monthly gathering hosted by Halcyone and Maya. These two playful Tarot nerds will guide you in developing your own personal conversation with tarot, understanding of the cards, and how to laugh at yourself when the cards are too real.

As a community, participants will also work with each other to practice intuitive reading based on the month’s theme. This workshop is suitable for both beginners looking for guidance at the start of their journey, and for more experienced readers looking for a community to dive deeply into the themes of the tarot.

The card for October is The World.

Tarot Salon occurs every second Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Firefly Studio.

Sliding Scale $20-40 via cash, Venmo @maya-rook, or card.

Advance registration required. Sign up here.

Meet Your Hosts:

Halcyone Wise comes from a long line of witches, healers, diviners, and druids stretching back to her family’s origins in Scotland. Originally from the North Shore of Massachusetts, Tarot is her first and most consistent magical companion—she’s spent over 20 years with the cards and their themes. Her interests and specialties include shadow work, intuitive divination practices, and plant magic. When she isn’t elbow deep in herbs and tarot, she can be found wandering around Bath with her dog, Berko, or managing her prolific yarn stash. Big Three: Leo Sun/Taurus Moon/Cancer Rising.

Maya Rook is a cultural historian, college educator, and yoga & meditation instructor who has been playing with tarot since she was twelve years old. She offers a grounding meditation at each Tarot Salon and holds space with Halcyone as participants dive deep into the cards. As a lover of themes, she also creates a special playlist to accompany the primary card for each salon and offers other sensory experiences to bring the themes of the month to life.
