Yoga Basics: Opening Up to Backbends

Join Erica for Yoga Basics: A Six-Week Journey to Build Your Foundation!

Whether you're new to yoga or an experienced practitioner looking to revisit the essentials, this six-week series offers a thoughtful exploration of foundational poses. In a fun, supportive environment, we’ll break down key asanas (poses) to deepen your understanding of alignment, modifications, and safe form.

This series is progressive, designed to build skills and confidence week by week, but each class is also a standalone session—perfect for those who want to focus on specific themes or poses without committing to the full series. You’ll have the opportunity to slow down, stay in each pose, and explore adjustments and modifications to make your practice truly your own.

For many of us who are used to a faster-paced flow class, this series provides a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect, and refine. Whether you're stepping onto your mat for the first time or looking to revisit and enhance your foundational knowledge, this series will leave you feeling grounded, confident, and ready to grow.

Week 4: Opening Up to Backbends

Backbends invite both strength and vulnerability. This week, we’ll break down Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana), Upward-Facing Dog (Urdhva Mukha Svanasana), Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana), and Wheel Pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana), focusing on safe spinal movement and heart-opening techniques. Whether you’re easing into these poses or deepening them, there’s something here for everyone.

Join this session to explore backbends in-depth, whether as a standalone class or part of the series.
